About
Matt is a proud husband and father of two young boys. He was born and raised in Broward County, Florida. He attended Florida State University where he graduated magna cum laude and went on to attend the Florida State University College of Law. In Law School, he was Chief Justice of the Student Supreme Court and a member of the school’s highly decorated Mock Trial Team. He continues his involvement with the FSU College of Law as a coach for the school’s Mock Trial Team.
Matt is a licensed member of the Florida Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. For each of the last three years, he has been recognized as the only (or one of only two) social security disability lawyers in Florida designated a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine. He maintains an AV Peer-Review rating through Martindale Hubbell.
An active volunteer in the community, Matt is a proud member of Leadership Tallahassee Class 28. He currently serves as the President of the Tallahassee affiliate of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). Matt also volunteers as a Director of Big Bend Cares as well as a Guardian ad Litem in the Second Judicial Circuit of Florida.
