Tallahassee, FL – On May 23, 2014, Attorney Matt Liebenhaut completed an eight-hour course to become certified in Mental-Health First Aid.  The National Council for Behavioral Health offers the certification program to teach the skills to respond to the signs of mental illness.  Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack — even if you have no clinical training — Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health related crisis. The program covers risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.  “The class was a great way to deepen my understanding of mental health issues and how to respond to clients and other people I care about who may be suffering from mental illness,” said Liebenhaut.

Matt Liebenhaut is a disability and family lawyer in Tallahassee, FL.  His practice is centered around assisting people with social security disability and private disability insurance as well as divorce, child custody, child support and similar issues.
